In order to ensure the unambiguity of the methodology and the results of the evaluating method, as well as to define the framework of its interpretation, let us first review the main criteria on which the WHO Healthy Cities Project requirements are based - together with the main fields of activities that can be defined along this line.
Requirements preferred by the WHO:
1. The highest level of political commitment to the principles and strategies of the Healthy Cities project.
2. Establishment of new organisational structures to manage change
3. Commitment to developing a shared vision for the city with a health plan and work on specific themes
4. Investment in formal and informal networking and co-operation
